Taking the Family to Orlando |

Orlando is a great place for a family holiday. Walt Disney World is the most obvious destination for families with children. However, there are many other Orlando attractions that your family will enjoy. At NASA's Kennedy Space Center, you can take a tour of launch facilities and take part in interactive simulations. Your children might even get the chance to meet an astronaut. A ticket to the Kennedy Center also includes an Airboat Safari ride through the Everglades, where you can see alligators as well as other kinds of wildlife. The organizers of the Kennedy Center/Airboat Safari tour will pick you and your family up at your hotel, so you don't even have to worry about getting there.
Universal Orlando is a popular tourist destination. Your children will love the Harry Potter exhibit that recently opened. You can take part in family challenges at Universal Orlando's Fear Factor Live. If you do decide that you cannot leave Orlando without visiting Disney World, keep in mind that once you check in Walt Disney World you will have the opportunity to take part in many exciting activities - watching shows, playing games and going on rides. You will be able to access all of Disney's transportation services - their water taxes, ferries, buses and monorails - for the entire length of your stay. You can visit any or all of Disney World's theme parks - Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. Walt Disney World's water parks - 'Blizzard Beach' and 'Typhoon Lagoon' - provide the perfect respite from the warm Orlando climate. All of this activity will probably make your whole family hungry. Jungle Jim's is famous for being a family friendly restaurant. Your children will love eating hamburgers in an atmosphere reminiscent of the jungle, where they will be surrounded by waterfalls and stuffed animals. |
